DevClub Rules and Regulations

1. Introduction

Welcome to The LearnDash Developers Club (“the Club”). By joining the Club, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following rules and regulations. These terms govern your membership and participation in the Club, which provides access to various developer resources, communication channels, and other benefits.

2. Open Resources

The following resources are open to the public and do not require membership:

  1. Developer Resources: Access to developer documentation, changelogs, and product translations. These can be found at developers.learndash.com. 
  2. Facebook Group: Our Facebook Group is a community that you’re welcome to join at any time as long as you abide by the rules. It’s outside the scope of our DevClub program. 

3. Membership Benefits

As a member of the Club, you will have access to the following benefits:

  1. Discord Community: Access to the LearnDash channels in the StellarWP Discord Server for direct communication with the LearnDash team and other club members, subject to restrictions mentioned below.
  2. Email Newsletter: Subscription to our monthly email newsletter, which provides customer insights and product updates.
  3. Early Access: Invitations to early access product trials and release candidate testing when possible. 
  4. Focus Groups: Opportunities to sign up for quarterly focus groups with our Product Owners. 

4. Discord Regulations

  1. Discord is to be used as a development resource. It is not intended for priority support requests. Use this workspace to:
    1. Collaborate with others
    2. Make product suggestions
    3. Provide general product feedback
    4. Let us know if you find Knowledge Base docs that need to be updated
    5. Look for announcements from the LearnDash team
  2. One or more of the LearnDash product owners will reply to messages and posts within 5 business days (once per week).
  3. Disparaging comments are not tolerated. Treat all members of the Club with respect and provide criticism in the form of constructive feedback. 
  4. Self-promotion is prohibited. This is a collaborative product management space, not a marketing forum. 

5. Member Expectations

  1. Release Candidate Testing: If given a product to test in advance of release, members must provide feedback in the dedicated space for that test. 
  2. Focus Group Participation: Members who sign up for focus groups are expected to participate constructively and follow the instructions provided for that focus group session. 
  3. Confidentiality: Members may be exposed to information not available to the public, like our roadmap plans. Such information is to be kept confidential and not shared outside the Club. Violation of this confidentiality requirement will result in removal from the Club.

6. Product Development and Intellectual Property

LearnDash reserves the right to create any feature or add-on for LearnDash at our discretion, regardless of whether it conflicts with or duplicates something created by members of the Club. The roadmap is determined by customer feedback and LearnDash must maintain a quality core product that meets customers’ needs.

7. Facebook Group

The LearnDash Facebook Group is currently outside the scope of the Club. However, this may change in the future, and members will be informed accordingly. Management of the LearnDash Facebook Group falls under the LearnDash Customer Experience and Marketing Teams. The LearnDash Developers Club is managed by the Product Team. 

8. Termination of Membership

LearnDash reserves the right to terminate the membership of any individual who violates these rules and regulations or engages in conduct detrimental to the Club or LearnDash.

9. Amendments

LearnDash reserves the right to amend these rules and regulations at any time. Members will be notified of any changes, and continued participation in the Club constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
